Xplore Cosmic Golf is open 364 days a year as follows:

We can open outside of our normal opening hours for private bookings and parties. Speak to a supervisor for more information. Soft Play opening times differ from those of the Cosmic Golf.

Cosmic Golf Prices

Both Golf Courses are open to all ages for the same price.

Search for Atlantis (6 holes) - £2.50 per person
The Mummy's Curse (9 holes) - £3.50 per person
Both courses (15 holes) - £5.00 per person

Family Tickets*

Search for Atlantis (6 holes) - £8.99 per family
The Mummy's Curse (9 holes) - £12.99 per family
Both courses (15 holes) - £18.99 per family

*A family is considered as 2 Adults and 2 Children (Under 12)

How to play...

If you’ve never played miniature golf before, here’s a quick guide. Each course is made up of 9 holes. The winner of the game is the person who has the lowest score at the end of each course.

• Before you start, you will be given a ball, a scorecard and a pencil. If there are more than 4 in your group, you will need to split into groups of 4 or less.



• When you enter the course, a member of staff will help you find the appropriate putter.



• Each player ‘tees off’ from the green mat at the beginning of each hole.



• After everyone has teed off, the player whose ball is furthest away from the hole has the next shot.



• The player furthest away always goes next. This continues until everyone has putted their ball.



• Write the amount of shots it took to putt the ball on your scorecard.



• The last hole on each course will swallow your ball. After 9 holes, add up each player’s score.

Please observe our simple rules:

• No aggressive play
• No climbing on, or touching the scenery
• No overtaking (without permission)
• Have fun!

By car...

FREE PARKING with plenty of parent & child spaces!

Xscape is just next to the motorway and very easy to get to by car, simply leave the M62 at J32 and follow brown tourism signs for Xscape/Freeport. Xscape has 1,400 FREE parking spaces.

By bus...

There’s a dedicated train station at Xscape Castleford called Glasshoughton Station.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is Cosmic Golf suitable for?
We recommend a minimum age or three years, although some younger children may find the ‘Curse of the Mummy’ course a little bit scary. We have putters of all different sizes.

Do I need to pre-book?
It is not usually necessary to pre-book unless you have a birthday party or large group. However we can’t guarantee that there will not be a waiting time for entry at peak times.

Is there a minimum number for birthday parties?
Yes, you need to bring at least 7 people.

How long does it take?
Depending on how good you are, a group of 4 would usually finish one 9 hole course in around 20-25 minutes.

Will we have the Golf Courses to ourselves?
We can take bookings for exclusive use of the Cosmic Golf, but under normal circumstances there would be other players using the courses. We can also open outside of our normal opening hours for private parties.
